2024 Mexico Gould's Turkey Hunt- The Painter Group
We were joined by Kyle and Brittany Painter and Travis and Desta Gourley for a hunt in Chihuahua. They were guided by Kade Purser.
Desta and Travis Gourley write, “As we write this, we can officially say that we have successfully completed our single season husband/wife WORLD SLAM thanks to Jay Scott Outdoors. With five species each in the bag, there was a lot riding on this last trip. Being later in the season, the toms weren’t overly responsive to calling and seemed to want nothing to do with the decoys. However, that didn’t keep our awesome guide Kade down. We hunted hard, split up groups to cover more ground, and two days into the hunt we were able to pattern our birds. Everyone in camp left a happy successful hunter.
Even though the hunting was a little harder than we thought it would be, everything about the experience was top-notch. We’ve hunted alongside outfitters that you just never knew what to expect until arrival. That was not the case with Jay Scott. Flawless communication from the moment of booking answered every possible question.
We just finished our 14th season hunting the spectacular Gould's turkey in the mountains of Mexico. We hunt both states of Sonora and Chihuahua Mexico. Thanks to all of our hunters who trusted us with their once in a lifetime hunt and our guides for all of their hard work and efforts.
